ABOUT THE CLIENT:
El Centro Hispano is a Latino nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the community, building bridges and advocating for equity and inclusion for Hispanics/Latinos in the Triangle Area of North Carolina.

THE TASK:
Streamline the student-to-tutor pairing process by building two spreadsheets: one containing the personal information and the specific pairings for each tutor and the other for the students. Additionally, help with payment tracking for other areas within the El Centro Hispano organization.

MY SOLUTION:
I currently serve as the Operations Manager at El Centro Hispano. Above is an example of the work I have done for the nonprofit. The spreadsheet you see has optimized the student-to-tutor pairing process. I utilized CONDITIONAL FORMATTING to automatically color-code each student's row based on their status - a legend is provided at the top. Additionally, I FROZE and GROUPED specific rows to make traversing the spreadsheet easier, effectively minimizing the time it takes to achieve three things: 1) pair new students, 2) troubleshoot errors with student information, and 3) find new tutors in the instance that they can no longer help.

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Triangle LCSW is committed to offering psychotherapy clients the support, empowerment, and validation needed to enable them to create change in their lives.

THE TASK:
Optimize the attendance and payment tracker for the Triangle LCSW weekly workshops by building a spreadsheet that allows for the input of names, a Yes/No attendance tracker, the cost per workshop, monthly totals, and grand totals.

MY SOLUTION:
I improved upon the business's old spreadsheet to create the one you see above. In the cells with the downwards arrow, I utilized a tool called DATA VALIDATION to allow the client to select Yes or No from a dropdown bar indicating attendance. I color-blocked each row in a pattern so that the sheet is easy to use. During each weekly workshop the business holds, they can swiftly enter their students' names, the cost per person, and their attendance. The costs are totaled up automatically in the monthly total columns and the grand totals row using SUM FORMULAS. Lastly, the business can enter which instructor led the session at the top of each column.
